Audley Service Station

The Audley Service Station was the home of our independent Citroën and Peugeot specialist from 1987 to 2007.

We built up a large client base, most of whom have come to us on recommendation and have remained loyal for many years.

We employed two staff at Audley, plus myself (Richard Dalton) and Suzanne, who ran the office.

In 1987 our local village garage approached us and as a result we enjoyed 20 happy years offering our services to the community in which we ourselves still live today.

The Move to Holditch Garage

In March 2007 we agreed to purchase the long running and well established Alfred Evans Garage (aka Holditch Garage) on the Holditch road in Chesterton.

The garage was ideal, giving us masses of space meaning that we could offer on site MOT facilities, we also gained enough space to accommodate specialist equipment, meaning that we would be capable of offering tyre fitting and balancing and air conditioning services to name but a few.

Things Were Not That Simple...

It was obvious to us all that our new premises needed radical modernization, this would include:

Building a secure perimeter fence around the property,

The replacement of every window with modern UPVC equivalants,

Replacing the old wooden garage doors with modern roller shutters,

Knocking down the old office walls to create an open plan office and waiting area,

Replacing all lifts and diagnostic, and MOT equipment,

Building on site toilet, shower, kitchen and washing facilities for our staff,

Not to mention replacing ceilings, inserting doors and replacing the original old toilet facilities. The list could go on and on!

New Blood

In moving to our new premises it became clear that we needed to expand our team, so carefully over the course of the next few months we took on two more very highly qualified staff.

We were delighted to offer positions to James Smiths (Jez) who would become our Quality Controller for MOT's, and Jason Summers who would become our new garage's  Service Manager.

Finishing Off and Settling In

There are still a few odds and ends to be done here, but all in all we are very proud of the progress and changes we have made to our new premises.

We have designed our new facilities to provide a better experience for our customers, and a better environment for our staff.

Our customers, new and old, can now come inside and relax with a magazine and a drink, whilst waiting for their vehicle or indeed chatting to one of our staff about any problems they may have.

We hope to be providing our renowned quality of service from here for many years to come.
